How much does it cost to translate a book from English to Spanish?
Full human translation costs €0.070 per word of your original and post-editing €0.035 (VAT not included). For an 80,000-word novel that is €5,600 or €2,800. Proofreading a Spanish manuscript of the same length costs €880.
Which service do I need?
If your book is already in Spanish, proofreading. If it is in English: full human translation for fiction and any text where voice matters, post-editing for non-fiction on a tighter budget. Not sure? Send a chapter and we'll recommend one.
How long will it take?
About 2,500 words per working day, so an 80,000-word novel takes around 32 working days.
Is the 1,000-word sample really free?
Yes. You get your first 1,000 words back translated or proofread, at no cost and with no commitment.
Which Spanish do you translate into?
Spanish from Spain (Castilian), by native linguists from Spain and following the standards of the Real Academia Española (RAE). If your readers are mainly in Latin America, tell us when you request your sample.
Is my manuscript safe with you?
Yes. Your text is handled confidentially and never used for anything else. We sign an NDA on request. If you'd rather your text never goes through a machine translation tool, choose full human translation or proofreading.
